Laura Alice (Bryant) Jones

Laura Alice Bryant Jones, 87, of Kinston passed way Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie. Laura was born on April 24, 1935 to Sallie Mae Bryant. She graduated from B.F. Grady High School May 1953. She worked for DuPont for 39 years and helped open the Cooper River Plant. She traveled the whole United States and extensively across the world. Laura loved taking photo's and working hard in her yard. Horticulture was one of her favorite past times. She was full of life and loved her family very much.

Laura is preceded in death by her mother and father; son, Wilger Randolph Jones; sisters, Estella Sanderson, Etta Mae Sanderson, Mildred Sanderson, Leona Bryant Smith; brothers, Woodrow Sanderson, Wilson Sanderson.

Survivors include her daughter, Belinda Annette Jones Wilson; grandchildren, Joshua James Wilson and wife Patricia, and David Lee Wilson and wife Amanda; great grandchildren, Caleb Garrett Wilson, Courtney Nicole Wilson, Madison Anne Wilson, Mellanie Leigh Wilson, Bobby Lee Turner, Christopher Hayden Deaver; sister, Brenda Kaye Francis; brother, Johnny Ray Williams; nieces, Tina Ambrose, Dennis Francis and Wendy Elizabeth Williams.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Garner Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held following the visitation at 12:30 p.m. at Westview Cemetery.
