Laura "Kathy" (Cooke) David

Laura “Kathy” Cooke David, 65, of Kinston passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022 at UNC Lenoir Healthcare.

Despite her loss of sight, her perception was vibrant and colorful. Kathy loved life and everyone in it tremendously.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Mary Cooke, siblings, Celia Hawkins, Tom Cooke, Faye Banks, Lois Casey, Vivian Grant, Ray Cooke, Randy Cooke.

She is survived by her daughter, Bridget David and Craig Harrison; son, Jasper David and wife Natasha; grandchildren, Christian and wife Sophia, Adam, Lilly, Zeke, Will, Delilah, Jace, Elliot; sister, Clara “Pete” Dawson and husband Ed; brother, Herbert “Dill” Cooke; many loved nieces and nephews that were like siblings.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Garner Funeral Home with visitation to follow. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Daugherty Family Cemetery, off of John Daugherty Road in Cove City.
