Leonard Earl Pate

Leonard Earl Pate, 87, of Seven Springs passed away peacefully on his 60th Wedding Anniversary, Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at the North Carolina State Veterans Home in Kinston surrounded by his loved ones. He was a loving father and grandfather, and he will be deeply missed.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Ruth Pate; Baby Girl Pate; parents, Leon Pate and Eliza Pate.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Paula Bunn and special friend, William McLawhorn III and Crystal Pate; grandchildren, Jeremy Pate and Halle Stepps and husband Craig; sister, Gladys Sutton; brother, Thomas Pate.

A public viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday, November 29, 2024 at Garner Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Dalys Chapel Church Cemetery with Pastor Duane Haddock officiating.
