Linda Faye (Peyton) Grant

Linda Peyton Grant, 79, of Kinston passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at her home. She was a beloved mother and grandmother and absolutely adored her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her son, Walter Rex Herring, Jr.; first husband, Walter Rex Herring, Sr.; second husband, Milton “Buddy” Grant; parents, David and Essie Peyton.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Anita Conklin of Kinston; son, Vance Herring and wife Missy of Kinston; grandchildren, Peyton Herring, Rinna Conklin, Reece Conklin, Ricky Herring, Keith Herring.

A visitation will be held from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Friday, September 8, 2023 at her home, 1715 Holly Ridge Road, Kinston, North Carolina 28504.
