Linda Howard Obituary

Linda Turner Howard, 80, of Kinston went to her Heavenly home Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Kitty Askins in Goldsboro. She was the fourth of five children born to Jack Edward and Bessie Buck Turner, Sr.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Oliver Howard; her sisters, Rebecca “Becky” Potter and Janet Spry; brothers, Jack Edward Turner Jr. and David Turner.

She is survived by her three daughters, Debbie Rast and husband Larry of Goldsboro, Wanda Hoffman and husband Parrish of Kinston, Donna Sorrell and husband Greg of Greenville and son, John Howard and wife Jerri of LaGrange; grandchildren, Camille Stocks, Jordan Stewart and husband Phil of Goldsboro, Austin Howard, Riley Hoffman and wife Emily all of Kinston, Kailey Howard of LaGrange, Peyton Howard of Raleigh, Autumn and Hunter Sorrell both of Greenville, Matthew and Robert Rast both of Goldsboro; great grandchildren, Garrett and Tucker Stocks, Lainey and Pierce Stewart all of Goldsboro, Elvie Hoffman of Kinston.

She was employed and retired from Belks and continued working at JC Penney in Kinston until they closed.

The family would like to thank Jenna Riggs and the loving staff at Magnolia Cottages, 3HC, Pruitt Health and the Kitty Askins Staff for their wonderful and loving care of Linda in her final days.

At our mothers request, a Celebration of Life will be held privately with family and friends at a later date.
