Lizzie Mae (Smith) Grady

Lizzie Mae Smith Grady, 80, of LaGrange passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at her home. She was an avid BINGO player and a fan of NC State Basketball. Lizzie loved watching all kinds of sports and especially Golf. She enjoyed reading books with her feline friend, Scooter. She loved doing her Sudoku puzzles. Lizzie was a member of Wheat Swamp Church.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Clarance Whitfield; and second husband, Joe Grady; parents, Frank and Mae Carol Hill; siblings, Tony Hill and Ricky Hill.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, David Whitfield and wife Bonnie of LaGrange; grandchildren, David Whitfield, Jr. (Kristian), Ciara Thigpen, Skylar Whitfield, Melissa Byrd, Krystal Tyler (Russell); great grandchildren, Joseph, Olivia, Kayla, Addi, Jamie, Zoey, Mia, Julius, Ashlynn, Finley, Kaylynn, Hunter, Karris, Michael; sister, Sara Dixon and Gloria Bradshaw; numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
