Lou Anne (Sanderson) Murphy

Lou Anne Sanderson Murphy, 71, of Deep Run, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, October 12, 2023. She served God for 60 plus years and loved her family and friends very much.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Lehmon Sanderson; son, Wesley Glenn Murphy; brothers, Gene and Bobby Sanderson.

Lou Anne is survived by her husband, William C. Clark of Pink Hill; son, Joseph (Crystal) Murphy of Deep Run; grandchildren, Victoria (John) Platt, Taylor (Bodie) Taylor, Kayla “Roo” Murphy, Jose “Kelito” Howard, Wesley David Murphy; five great grandchildren; sister, Betty White of Goldsboro; brothers, Linwood (Fil) Sanderson of Beulaville, Joey (Darlene) Sanderson of Jacksonville, Earl (Stacey) Sanderson of Beulaville; and dog, “Wheezer”.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Garner Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Kapanski officiating. Visitation will be held following the funeral service. Graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Byrd-Tyndall Cemetery in Pink Hill. The family are also accepting visitors at her home.

The family would like to say a special thank you to 3HC and especially to Amber and Skyler for all they did for Lou Anne.
