Mildred Virginia Tew (Jenny), 81, of Kinston passed away at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville on Monday, April 26, 2021. She was born in Kinston to James Arthur Clark and Bessie H. Clark on September 1, 1939. She was a hard worker having many jobs and retiring after 25 years with Lenoir Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Kinston.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Marvin Tew; daughter, Martha Rees Tew; sisters, Kathleen Moore, Nellie Moore, Mattie Aswell; brothers, Bill Clark, Quincy Clark, Cecil Clark, Bruce Clark. She is survived by a daughter, Diana Rich; a special nephew, Bobby Bryant; and special nieces, Linda Clark Barnes and Jan Draper. Also surviving are nieces, Janet Faye Williams, Brenda Harris, Kelly McLawhorn, Frances Heath, Phyllis Mozingo, Rita Quinn, Rose Moore, Betsy Travis; nephews, Randy Clark, Vernon Clark, Marty Clark, Ray Moore, Keith Clark. A special sister-in-law Carol Clark. Special friends, Sandy J. Creech and Carol and Rodney Lee.
A service to celebrate and remember Virginia will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Garner Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Rogers officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
