Nancy Gray Williams, 85, of Church Road, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, with her family by her side at her home in Church Road, Virginia. Nancy was born the youngest of three children to Mr. William Perry Gray and Mrs. Lula Estelle Gray in Lenoir County, North Carolina on January 31, 1938.
She is survived by her husband Herbert and her son Michael (Kimberley), grandchildren Clifton Williams (Amy), Amber Holloman (Charles), Benjamin Williams, and great grandchildren, Colton Holloman, Landry Williams, Witten Williams, and Carlee Belle Holloman, sister Bobbie Jean Dunn, and many nieces and nephews, several cousins, and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents William Perry and Lula Estelle Gray, and her brother Billy Gray.
Nancy loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Grace Communion Hanover Church. She was a Technical Assistant at the E.I. DuPont Spruance plant, located in Richmond, Virginia, where she enjoyed a long and prosperous career for just over 40 years. She loved every minute of her retirement, spending time traveling, enjoying spiritual time of worship and fun times with family and friends. Her perseverance and strength was remarkable to everyone who knew her.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Garner Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Winn officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at the George W. Holland Cemetery, located off of Greene Haynes Road in Kinston, NC. A memorial service will also be held at Central Baptist Church, located at 6405 Courthouse Road, Church Road, Virginia 23833, on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 1:00PM.
