Ricky Wayne Warren

Ricky Wayne Warren, 69, of Kinston passed away on Wednesday, August 13th, 2025 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. 

Ricky is preceded in death by his parents, Guy Warren and Jane Burkette. 

He is survived by his daughters, Ashlee Warren Wells and Heather Warren; grandchildren, Zach, Nick, Harlee, Waverly, Weston, Janey, Ava, Asher; sister, Tami Childress and husband Larry; brothers, Tony Warren and wife Susan with son Tyler, Craig Warren and significant other Marcela Ledford with son Trevor; numerous nieces and nephews; and special nieces, Megan, Emilee, and Abby. 

Ricky found immense peace on the beach. The beach was his sanctuary, a place of happiness and solace. Beyond the shoreline, Ricky's greatest joy came from spending time with his family. 

A celebration of Life will be held at 6:00p.m. Wednesday, August 20th, 2025 at Garner Funeral Home with visitation to follow. 

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to 4 West at UNC Lenoir, Kathy and Abi, and the staff of Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
