Ronald Wayne Whitler, 60, affectionately known as “Coke Man”, for his years of service at Coca-Cola, gained his angel wings on Sunday, July 18, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Louise Potter; his father Donald Whitler; two sister, Barbara Williams and Brenda Faucette, and a wife of 33 years, Deborah Whitler.
He is survived by his loving wife, who stood by his side until the end, Debra Carter Whitler. He also leaves behind three children, Stephanie Swinson (Randy) of Kinston, Scottie Whitler of Deep Run and Jonathan Whitler of Jacksonville. Five grandchildren, Joshua Tapp, Kelli Barker, Stephen Whitler, James Whitler, Dawson Whitler, and Anastasia Nance-Whitler and one great grandchild, Brayden Waters. Brothers, Rick Whitler of Charlotte, Kenny Potter of Albertson, Kurt Whitler of Iowa and Roy King of Alabama.
He loved his animals, Spiderman, Brandy, Midnight, and Tigger.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2021 at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill with Richard Parker officiating.
