Ruth Pollock White

Ruth Pollock White White, 98, of Dover, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, H.M. and Trecy McCoy White; her husband, Roy E. White Sr.; her son, Roy E. White Jr. (“Le Roy”); and her sister, Kaye White Hawkins.

She is survived by her son, Michael White (BJ); daughter-in-law, Nancy R. White; grandchildren, Jeffrey White, Becky Dail (Henry), Jennifer Rivenbark (Doug), and Jason White (April); great-grandchildren, Courtney White-Lang, Dakota Jones (Olivia), Taylor Perry (Daniel), Matthew Jones (friend Alexis), and Austin Rivenbark (Grace); and great-great-grandchildren, Emerie Lang, Ellie Lang, and Declan Jones.

She is also survived by her brothers, Troy White (Alice) and Roger White (Treacy), along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth was married to her beloved husband for 72 years. Together they worked on the family farm, not only tending the fields but also preparing meals for the farm hands.  She was a member of Southwest Christian Church. She had a love for flowers, crocheting, and collecting lighthouses.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Garner Funeral Home, graveside services will be Monday, March 9, 2026 at 11:00 am at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
