Samia (Johnson) Smith

Samia Johnson Smith, 69, passed away on July 20, 2022.

Samia was a devoted Edgecombe County employee and retired after her 30 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Tarboro.

Samia was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Smith, mother, Dorothy Whaley, sister, Debra White and brother, Zeb Johnson.

Her favorite titles were Mama and Nana. Samia is survived by her two daughters, Dana Parrish (Jay) of Raleigh and Karen Rogers (David) of Manteo. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, Gracie, Emma, James, Anna and George. She is also survived by her brother, Lee “Buddy” Johnson (Pam) of Snow Hill and special friend Alice Hale.

A private graveside service was held.
