Shirley Ann Elliott

Shirley Ann Douglas Elliott, 89, of Kinston, NC passed away peacefully Monday, February 24, 2025 at The Landings of Swansboro.

Shirley was a long-time resident of Swannanoa and Kinston, NC. Shriley worked many years in sales and retired from Lia Sophia Jewelry. She dedicated her life to Christ and was an elder and devoted member at Gordon Street Chirstian Church.

Shirley was also a long-time member of Chapter 53 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Shirley was born July 23, 1935, in Lee County to the late Jennings and Leila Medlin Douglas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy T. Elliott, Jr.; sister, Linda Douglas Stone; twin brothers, Tommie Lynn Douglas and Donnie Glenn Douglas; and grandson, Robert J. Smith, Jr.

Shirley is survived by her two sons, Robert Jennings Smith (Dixie) of Hubert and Guy Thomas Elliott III (Lian) of Roanoke Rapids; four grandchildren, Robbie Hubbard of Fayetteville, Mary Goode (Jason) of Fayetteville, Samantha Bryant (Michael) of Swansboro, and Bradley H. Elliott of Roanoke Rapids; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and a nephew.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Gordon Street Christian Church Kinston, NC, with receiving of family and friends from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. and service to follow at 3:00 p.m.
