Terry Lewis Dickerson, 72, of Kinston went peacefully Monday, August 9, 2021, at Vidant Medical Center. He served as a Marine in the Vietnam War and went on to serve his country in the National Guard for many years. He was a welder by trade. He is survived by his children, Terri Dickerson Spence and husband Kevin Spence, Wilton Earl Dickerson, and Melissa Hawley, Kaila Brooke Dickerson, and Stephanie Eubanks Turner and husband Jody Turner. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Rush Spence Montagne and husband Eric Montagne, Braxton Spence, Brianna Mendez, Chloe Grace Dickerson, Faith Turner and Trint Turner. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, Ellie Montagne, Madelyn Parker, and Paisley Garris. His is also survived by his brother, Tony Dickerson, and many special nieces, nephews, family and great friends. Special thank you to Rebecca Gavin for all your help the last 3 weeks.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Allene Dickerson; Brother, A. “Fonnie” Dickerson; identical twin brother, Jerry L. Dickerson; brother, Stacey A. Dickerson.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 2860 Sybil Drive, Kinston, NC 28504 at the home of Kevin and Terri Spence.
