Thomas Everette Ballard, Sr.

Thomas Everette Ballard, Sr., 82, of Kinston passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at his home.

Thomas served 25 active-duty years with the U.S. Army. He also enjoyed his 20 plus years driving buses and working on them.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Jennifer K. Ballard Harr and husband Jim, Ann Gibson and husband Mike, Angela Hathaway and fiancé Big Daddy Dave, Wanda Jones and husband Roger and Judy Stancil and husband Paul; son, Thomas E. Ballard, Jr. and wife Geraldine; twenty-one grandchildren and thirty-eight great grandchildren, and sisters Lula Dixon and Janice Ballard.

He is preceded in death by wife of 52 years, Louie Dell Antwine Ballard his parents, Grover and Ina Ballard; ten brothers and sisters; son, Bobby Ballard; daughter, Julia C. Price and grandson, Michael Register.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Garner Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Emmett Smith officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Ballard Cemetery, Hwy 258 S, Richlands.
