Thomas "Tommy" Earl Kennedy

Thomas “Tommy” Earl Kennedy, 67, of Deep Run passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice in Greenville.

Tommy was a loving husband of 41 years and brother. He retired from National Spinning. He enjoyed dancing, fishing, spending time with his family and helping others. Tommy was loved by all and missed by many. He attended Gray Branch FWB Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Georgia Kennedy and three siblings.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Irma Jean Cauley Kennedy of the home; sister, Patricia “Pat” Kennedy Taylor of White Lake; brothers, Herbert Kennedy Jr. and wife Janice of Harrells, Harvey Lee Kennedy and wife Vickie of Beulaville, James Allen Kennedy and wife Karen of Greenville, Little Joe (Joey) Kennedy of Kinston and special aunt, Mary Esther Matherson.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Garner Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jimmy Mercer and Chris Mercer officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.

The family will be receiving friends other time at 837 NC Hwy 241, Pink Hill, NC 28572.
