Timothy "Tim" Ward Moore

Timothy Ward Moore (aka Goose), 70, passed on to heaven June 18th 2026. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His life was defined by hard work, unwavering dedication to his loved ones, and a sense of humor that brought joy to everyone around him. 

Tim began working at a young age alongside his family in the tobacco fields. He learned the value of hard work, determination and responsibility. Those qualities remained with him throughout his life and career. He went on to work for West Company, where he dedicated 36 years before retiring. 

He is preceded in death by his Mother Lonie Hawkins Moore, Father Kirby Moore and brother Joseph Harrison.

He loved his wife Tina more than words could ever express.Together they built a family that became the center of his life and greatest source of pride. 

He leaves behind his wife Tina Moore. His children Steven Moore, Jessica Anderson with husband Mike, Jennifer Harrison, Samuel Harrison, and Billie Perry. 

He was a proud grandfather to Shawn, Kadence, Olivia, Cameron, Kaia, Cheyenne, Tabitha, Noah, and Austyn. They each brought immense joy to his life.

Tim is also survived by his siblings Mary Ann, Susan, Wanda, Chris. Along with many extended family and friends. 

He could always be found outdoors. Whether it was on one of the many family camping trips to Cedar Island or hunting and fishing. He was a avid hunter and exceptional fisherman, having won numerous fishing tournaments alongside his buddy. As he got older you could always find him in his recliner with his doggies watching westerns. 

Those who knew Tim will remember his playful spirit and his gift for making people laugh. He delighted in trying to gross out his kids with silly antics and took great pleasure in giving them gag gifts at Christmas. His favorite holiday. His laughter, jokes, and mischievous grin became treasured traditions that his family will carry with them forever.  

Though his passing leaves a immeasurable void. His legacy lives on through the values he instilled, the love he shared, and the countless memories he created. 

May Goose forever hunt the forest for that big buck and fish the shores of Heaven. Where the waters are calm and the fish are always biting, and the love of his family surrounds him for enternity. 

A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Garner Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held following the visitation. Burial will be held at Hawkins Family Cemetery following the funeral service.
