It is with deep sadness, we announce the passing of our dad, Tony Berry Carlyle. He gained his wings on December 22, 2025 at the age of 66. Born in Lenoir County to the late Harry & Marie Carlyle, Tony built a life rooted in the great love he had for his family. Tony was a skilled craftsman who took pride in working with his hands, not only with building but also drawing. He had a natural gift for portraits. His drawings remain a lasting keepsake for our family. Tony never knew a stranger & always looked for the best in everyone. He loved hard & could fight harder. He was a man known for his strength, steady presence, loyalty and values. He was especially proud of his children and cherished every moment spent with them. He is survived by his son, Eric Carlyle & wife Stacy. Daughter, Ashley Carlyle Ormond & husband Jake. Daughter, Toni Ann Steers & husband Brandon. Sister, Diane Neal & husband Freddie. Grandchildren, Madison, Eli, Ryleigh, Gunnar, Brooklyn, Hailey, Brittany & Austin, two great-grandchildren & one in waiting. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry & Marie Carlyle, brother, Dwight Carlyle and sister, Rose Brown. Tony was cherished by his children, family, friends & all who knew him. Our dad will be deeply missed & leaves a void felt by all. Psalm 73:26: “My flesh & my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart & my portion forever.”
