Tony Wayne Tomlinson

Tony Wayne Tomlinson, 71, of Grifton passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at his home.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Josephine Tomlinson; two brothers and three sister and his sidekick, Tuffy Baker

Tony enjoyed doing yard work and keeping his yard nice and clean. As Tony got older, he understood the importance of spending time with family and grandchildren. He has always been about his family. During the summer months, Tony always made sure they had a place to swim. Christmas time was his favorite time of the year and watching Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. He also liked watching The Andy Griffith Show. Tony enjoyed just getting into the car and just riding around, listening to music. Cooking on the grill and drinking a cold beer with his friends was some of the things he loved to do. Tony will be known for having a recipe for the best pot of dry beans.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Diane Tomlinson; daughters, Christy Cunningham, and Lori Clifton and her significant other, Glenn; son, Russell Wayne Clifton, and wife Randi; grandchildren, Nevaeh, Riley, Ethan, Kaylee, Rayne, Cole; sisters, Shirley Hawkins, Fredia Stinnet, Troni Baker.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Garner Funeral Home with Richard Parker officiating. Visitation will be held following the funeral service.
