Virgie Calvin (Perry) Heath

Virgie Perry Heath, 85, currently of Newton Grove passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Preston Heath; parents, Lonnie and Leona Perry; sister, Glennie Smith and her husband, Jack.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Teresa Halverson and husband Bob, Debra Austin and husband Don, Andouglace Heath, Rose Mahler and husband Eric; grandchildren, Christopher Heath and wife Kayla, Garret Halverson and wife Courtney, Adam Mahler, Emily Mahler; great grandchild, Grayson Heath.

Virgie worked in her early career at Kinston Free Press, followed by Hampton Industries and retired from Howell’s Child Care Center.  Her most fond memories were her time with Howell’s and her volunteer work with the Special Olympics.

Memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Garner Funeral Home. Visitation will be held following the memorial service.
