Wanda Jane (Coombs) Jones

Wanda Jane (Coombs) Jones, 68, of Kinston passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021, peacefully at her home.

She was born March 11, 1953, to the late Earl S. Coombs and Gertie Wrenn Coombs. She was a graduate of South Lenoir High School where she met and later married Troy Campbell Jones.

Mrs. Wanda was loved by so many. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Gail Coombs; and grandson, David Wade Golden, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Troy Campbell Jones; daughters, April Jones (David Golden), Jennifer Jones and Linda Jones all of Kinston; sister, Pamela Coombs of Moss Hill and brother, Barry Coombs of Deep Run. Known as “Meme” to all her grandchildren, Kevin Potter, Autumn Jones, Andreá Lopez, Ryan Coston and Ella Golden; and also, several special nieces and nephews, extended family and special friends.

Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Westview Cemetery.
