William Lewis Jarman, 92 of Kinston, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at UNC Lenoir Healthcare. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Ethel S. Jarman; sister, Elsie Jarman Davis; brother, Remus Rouse Jones.
Mr. Jarman served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was the owner/operator of Ray's Glass Shop for more than 70 years. He was also a founding and lifetime member of Calvary Baptist Church, Highway 11 North, Kinston.
Left to cherish his memory are: daughter, Susie Carol Jarman Carter and husband Larry of Kinston; son, William "Mike" Jarman and wife Alice of La Grange; grandchildren, Lawrence Edward Carter and wife Stacie of Kinston; Becky Carter Peyton and husband David of Kinston; Michael J. Jarman and wife Teri of La Grange; Mandy Jarman Odom and husband Ray of La Grange; great grandchildren, Samantha, Logan, Bentley, Anna Beth, Ally, Griffin, and Brandon; sister, Patricia Fox of Supply; nieces, Toni, Peggy, and Teresa.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Pinelawn Memorial Park with the Reverends Wayne Adkins and Gerald Stacey officiating. Due to the current pandemic, the service will be held outside with social distancing and face masks required.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, Highway 11 North, Kinston, NC in care of Treasurer, 3829 Ferrell Road, Kinston, NC 28501.
